eXegenics Inc., doing business as Opko Health, Inc. (the
“Company”), previously announced the entry
into and consummation of the acquisition of two development stage companies on
March 27, 2007.
Prior to the acquisitions,
the Company was a shell company with no active operations.
The Company is unable, without unreasonable effort and expense, to file its Quarterly Report on
Form 10-Q for the quarter ended
March 31, 2007 on a timely basis because additional time is
required for
the Company to finalize its conclusion on the accounting for various aspects of the
acquisitions.
The Company anticipates filing the Form 10-Q no later than the expiration of the
five-day extension period.
