Item 5.02. - Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On July 15, 2022, Mr. Hans Blickensdoerfer, Sr. V.P., Commercial Operations, Direct Markets Europe and China informed STAAR Surgical Company (the “Company”) of his intention to retire, effective July 31, 2022. Mr. Blickensdoerfer will remain available to the Company for consultation through the end of the year. As part of the Company’s succession plan, the Company promoted two of its internal commercial leaders to assume Mr. Blickensdoerfer’s responsibilities.
