Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

Investor and Analyst Meetings

Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (“Pinnacle West”) will be participating in various meetings with securities analysts and investors in April 2020 and will be utilizing handouts during those meetings. Copies of the handouts are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Item 8.01. Other Events.

Pinnacle West is supplementing the risk factors contained in Item 1A of the its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2019 (the “Form 10-K”). The following risk factor disclosure should be read in conjunction with the risk factors included in Item 1A of the Form 10-K.

The outbreak of the Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) could negatively affect our business.

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 is a rapidly developing situation around the globe that has led to economic disruption and volatility in the financial markets. The continued spread of COVID-19 and efforts to contain the virus could adversely affect demand for energy, lower economic growth, impact our employees and contractors, cause disruptions in our supply chain, increase certain costs, delay payments or increase uncollectable accounts or cause other unpredictable events, each of which could adversely affect our business, results of operations or financial condition. The ultimate extent or duration of the outbreak of COVID-19 is uncertain and we cannot predict whether it will have a material impact on our financial position, results of operations or cash flows.
