Item 8.01.Other Events.

On September 13, 2022, Alerus Financial Corporation announced that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.18 per share of its common stock. The dividend is payable on October 14, 2022, to stockholders of record on September 30, 2022. A copy of the press release announcing the dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
