On December 28, 2005, ShopKo Stores, Inc. (“ShopKo”) completed its previously announced merger with an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. A copy of the press release issued by ShopKo in connection with the completion of the merger is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
