On September 26, 2006, Texas Regional Bancshares, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.14 per common share payable on October 13, 2006 to common shareholders of record on October 6, 2006.  The press release is attached as an exhibit to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
