Explanatory Note

 i On August 3, 2020, Trex Company, Inc. (Company) filed a Current Report on Form 8-K (Original Form 8-K) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to report that on August 3, 2020, the Company issued a press release announcing financial results for the quarterly period ended June 30, 2020. In addition to issuing a press release, the Company held a conference call on the same day to discuss financial and operating results. This Amendment No. 1 to the Original Form 8-K is filed to include a transcript of such conference call.

Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On August 3, 2020, Trex Company, Inc. (Company) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarterly period ended June 30, 2020, as previously filed. Also, on August 3, 2020, the Company held a conference call to discuss financial and operating results. A transcript of the conference call is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
