Item 8.01 Other Events.

On September 1, 2020, Cabot Microelectronics Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing its intent to change its name and visual identity in a comprehensive rebrand, effective October 1, 2020. The Company’s stock ticker, CCMP, will not change as a part of the rebranding efforts.
